Today R14 became Secret Agents with Secret Agent names! We were in charge of Facebook security while Mark Zuckerburg went on holiday to Fiji. Every night between 12 am and 1 am he locks the website so that no one can hack into it. In the morning when he returns to work he unlocks it. He has left us in charge of all security while he is gone. Every night at midnight we need to enter the 4 digit code. If we don't Facebook could go down and millions of customers would be unhappy!
Mark didn't write down the code for fear of someone stealing and told it to us behind locked doors. Right before it was time, we sneezed and hit our head on the table, forgetting the 4 digit pin!! We had to crack 4 different codes to remember the 4 digit number - we had to hurry as we only had 1 hour to do it!
At the same time we were developing our Growth Mindset and resilience - we learnt about stars who had shown they had a Growth Mindset and cracked clues about Growth Mindset!
This sounds like a lot of fun Room 14. I hope you cracked the code in time. How was your resilience with this activity? Room 12 have been learning about The Learning Pit, so we have a lot in common. I hope you found your way out of the pit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, Mrs McVey! We did have a lot of fun. Some of us completed the challenge in time and remembered the 4 digit code. Some of us didn't, we decided that maybe they found it tricky or maybe they talked too much! We would love to learn about the Learning Pit and think maybe Room 12 could teach us. We are wondering what the Learning Pit is about and what you think they have in common? We can't wait for your reply - Room 14 Learners.
DeleteWow, Room 14, I'm sitting on the edge of my seat... did you crack the code. Oh I guess you did, Facebook is still there. Well done. I can see how this would help you learn to be resilient and keep going even if you got stuck.

We did crack the code! Well some of us did anyway so we were able to save Facebook! We did have to be resilient because some of the puzzles were very tricky. Things that made it easier were Mrs Poole giving us a clue and us helping each other out. Some of us just needed to read the clues properly! Thanks for your comment - Room 14 Learners
